Abstract

A questionnaire applied to 863 university students in Mexico City explores the frequency of aggressive behavior among peers through digital media during the return to face-to-face classes in the context of Covid-19. Among the findings, it is evident that reading rumors on the Internet about classmates and sending offensive memes among them appear as the most frequent problems among university students. Subsequently, a prediction analysis is carried out based on three variables: probability of cyberbullying, insinuation of cyberbullying, and provocation of cyberbullying. The analysis shows that by controlling the insinuation of cyberbullying, the probability of doing it decreases by 11%. However, the probability of committing cyberbullying could decrease by double (21%) when its provocation is controlled.
