Abstract

Educational institutions have the mission of providing quality education and promoting the comprehensive development of children, which is why they are also responsible for their emotional well-being. This work presents a systematic review that had the purpose of identifying the main lines of study on the school management of emotional problems in primary school students, globally, during the last decade (2014-2024). The work was based on the PRISMA methodology; 419 articles were collected from the ERIC, Education Source, Web of Science and Redalyc databases. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 23 articles were selected for analysis. The results obtained reflect that most of the articles are oriented towards two fundamental lines, the first related to the strategies that teachers use to manage emotional problems and the second referring to the challenges they face in this process. It was observed that the results of interventions with teachers and students have been investigated to a lesser extent. It is concluded that it is necessary to continue deepening the study of this topic from an educational perspective.
