Creating a Social Media Plan for a distance company: a collaborative work and learning challenge

Abstract
Distance education has become a challenge for students and teachers, especially as regards the development of practices that allow students to have real contact with the business world. In this case, through a collaborative project that integrated three different courses, students established a remote assistance mechanism that enabled them to design, implement, assess and manage a Social Media Plan for real companies. With the help of ICTs, and with the commitment to generate an effective remote presence, each company achieved its objectives and, in this way, the project also met its learning goals.
