Abstract
This paper proposes a theoretical tool with which it is possible to compare different explanations addressed to the same object of study. This tool consists of three sets of virtues: epistemic, analytical and pragmatic. To support the above are offered two case studies, the first compares two psychological explanations about the autism spectrum disorders, the second compares two explanations about the origin of numbers from an empiricist perspective.References
