Abstract

A questionnaire administered to 863 university students in Mexico City examines the frequency of peer-aggressive behavior via digital media during the return to face-to-face classes in the context of COVID-19. Among the findings, it is evident that reading gossip about classmates online and sending offensive memes among classmates are the most frequent problems among university students. A predictive analysis was conducted using three variables: the probability of cyberbullying, the insinuation of cyberbullying, and the provocation of cyberbullying. The study shows that by controlling the insinuation of cyberbullying, the likelihood of doing it decreases by 11%. However,  the probability of committing cyberbullying could decrease twofold (21%) when its provocation is controlled.
