Una noética para la poética de Octavio Paz

Abstract

Octavio Paz outlines with great clarity the requirements which a noetic foundation for poetry must fulfill, but finds antinomies in the attempt to individuate this support in the history of philosophic thought. This article indicates how certain premodern notions (especially analogy and habit) may correspond with precision to his poetics.
