Information For Authors

Interested in submitting to this journal? We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

  • Only original and unpublished works of the following genres will be published: academic articles, essays and critical reviews. Translations may also be published, provided they are unpublished.
  • The official language of the journal is Spanish. Articles in English will also be published.
  • Contributions should be written in Times New Roman font, 12 point, double spaced.
  • Papers by graduate students, active or emeritus researchers will be published. Except in extraordinary cases, authors must be affiliated with an academic institution.
  • Papers should be sent through the journal's web page, in a Word compatible file.
  • Articles and essays should be between 3,000 and 14,000 words in length. Critical reviews should be between 900 and 2,500 words.
  • Texts should comply with the rules of the Chicago-Deusto Manual of Style. Sources should be listed at the end of the text.
  • All articles will be submitted to blind arbitration, whose resolution will be made public through the journal's electronic media. Essays and critical reviews will be selected by the editors of the journal.
  • All articles must be accompanied by an abstract in Spanish and English no longer than 300 words, as well as 4 to 7 keywords.
  • Conocimiento y Acción is an open access publication, sponsored by the Universidad Panamericana, and does not receive any type of payment from authors or readers.

 

All contributors are subject to the following ethical considerations:

1- Zero tolerance for academic plagiarism.

2- In collaborative texts, all authors must have actively participated in its elaboration.

3- Sources should be clearly cited.

4- Any institution or person who has collaborated in the elaboration of the text will be acknowledged.

5- Ghost writers or unacknowledged collaborators should not be used.

6- Evaluators and editors will respond exclusively to academic criteria.

7- Any possible conflict of interest will be clearly stated.

8- Evaluations will be clear, communicated in a timely manner and supervised by the journal's editors.

9- Additionally, this publication adheres to the norms established by the Committee on Publication Ethics COPE.

Authors agree to assign copyright rights to Universidad Panamericana, retaining the moral rights.
