Resumen

Este artículo explora cómo la interpretación del espacio abre posibilidades para la autocomprensión en las obras posteriores de Michel Foucault y Paul Ricoeur. En primer lugar, se sitúan los proyectos de ambos pensadores en la hermenéutica postestructuralista del sujeto/yo, tras el “derrocamiento del cogito” por los “maestros de la sospecha”. A continuación, se analiza el espacio como análogo textual para comprender la exteriorización del significado del yo en el espacio construido. En este marco, la historia de Foucault sobre el concepto occidental de “espacio” se discute a partir de la exposición de Stephan Günzel, y Foucault y Ricoeur son analizados como pensadores del espacio. Por último, se identifica la “refiguración del espacio” como la fase en la que se abren posibilidades para la revelación y la transformación del yo. El artículo muestra que la “espacialidad del yo” ofrece otro punto de intersección para continuar las conversaciones imaginarias entre Foucault y Ricoeur en el contexto de su preocupación compartida por el yo.
