Abstract
In this proem, saint Thomas Aquinas exposes the relation between De Generatione and Physics and De Coelo, regarding the types of movement and mobile things, in order to differentiate and organize the parts of philosophy of nature. He explains, as well, why this is the third part of philosophy of nature and how is it that the type of movement that De Generatione attends is only founded in the inferior bodies. He talks about the priority of generation and corruption, about the first principles of the gender of corruptible things and about the alteration of bodies.
