Contra Müntzer, pro Lutero: la lectura de Hegel sobre la Reforma protestante en sus Lecciones sobre filosofía de la historia

Resumen

Este artículo muestra cómo se va configurando la recepción de algunos aspectos del luteranismo en las diversas ediciones de las Lecciones sobre filosofía de la historia de Hegel. Consideramos que Hegel comprende la influencia del luteranismo en el desarrollo de Alemania desde la perspectiva política de sus años de madurez, es decir, entendiendo el aporte de Lutero como un elemento importante en la consolidación de las reformas político-administrativas del siglo XVIII en Alemania, que encuentran su culminación en la afirmación de la racionalidad del vínculo entre el Estado y la religión. Este resultado va de la mano con el silencio que guarda Hegel frente a los acontecimientos que cuestionaron la obediencia del luteranismo al poder establecido, tal como ocurrió con la Bauernkrieg y la figura de Thomas Müntzer. Este silencio, creemos, está justificado a los ojos de Hegel a partir de la experiencia del terror revolucionario y de las consecuencias políticas de las doctrinas de Lutero.
