Estudios afrolatinoamericanos en perspectiva bibliométrica

Los estudios afrolatinoamericanos abordan una serie de cuestiones de máxima complejidad sobre poblaciones latinoamericanas que incluyen las Américas y el Caribe a partir de perspectivas multidisciplinares. En años recientes este campo de estudio se consolida como una vertiente con una solidez epistemológica clave en procesos de movilización y reivindicación de poblaciones que comparten experiencias racializadas de vida. Este estudio aborda los estudios afrolatinoamericanos desde una perspectiva cienciométrica que establece un diseño bibliométrico a partir de dos bases de información científica prominentes: Scopus y Web of Science. Entre los resultados se presentan las instituciones y países más productivos, autores sobresalientes a lo largo del tiempo, la ley de Lotka y Bradford aplicada a las fuentes de publicación y autores, los principales artículos con mayor número de citaciones, fuentes de publicación con mayor producción, temáticas y palabras clave significativas en el corpus analizado. Entre las conclusiones se enfatiza la necesidad de delimitar los enfoques de los estudios afrolatinoamericanos y considerar las nuevas formas de trabajo colectivo, reconocer las diversas perspectivas y los cambios de la cultura científica actual para avanzar hacia la inclusión de las visiones y voces poblacionales afrolatinoamericanas, en tanto locus de enunciación que encuentra en los movimientos sociales un respaldo social sólido.
